Let’s time travel together

Taylor River, May 2019

Join me to travel through space and time to beautiful spots around the Pacific Northwest. Exploring is better with a friend — I’d love to have you with me!

Every Sunday, I'll share three nature photos I made that month(-ish) in the last decade(-ish), and a song I loved the month the photo was taken.

About this project

With this project, I’m revisiting the past and appreciating the places I’ve been lucky enough to visit, until I can make more new memories with friends in new places.

The Spring season ran from February 21 through May 23, 2021. The Summer season ran from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Fall 2021 season runs September 12 through October 31.

Ebey’s Landing, April 2016

Inspired by Craig Mod’s huh project, David Shanske, and writing about newsletters by Robin Sloan, Patrick Tanguay, Robin Rendle, and others. I’m a fan of websites myself, but also feel the allure of email newsletters. My compromise with this project is to send emails but simultaneously publish on sensememory.cascadiainspired.com. You can choose to follow along there by RSS instead, if you prefer.

About Tracy

I’m a graphic designer and writer in the Seattle area. I blog about creativity and productivity, and finding inspiration in nature at cascadiainspired.com. I’m a native plant nerd and wildlife gardening enthusiast. My pronouns are she/her.

I’m a hobbyist photographer, so I can’t promise you the most spectacular, technically-perfect pictures of famous places, but I can offer you real moments I experienced on more off-the-beaten-path natural places in the Cascades and across Washington.
